     2012 Annual Meeting:  The 39th Annual Meeting of the VAE will take place in Virginia Beach, Virginia, on March 15 and 16, 2011.  Our Annual Meetings feature presentations on the Virginia and national economies, as well as papers by economists and analysts from across the Commonwealth.  Please see the "Event Program"
below for details about the material being presented this year.  

     Each year, the highlight of the conference is the William A. Sandridge Lecture (keynote lecture) and the accompanying dinner.  This year, our Sandridge Lecturer will be Donald J. Boudreaux, Professor of Economics at George Mason University.  The title of Dr. Boudreux's presentation will be "Economists and Imagination."
