About the Award: In 1993, the VAE Board of Directors established the VAE Distinguished Fellows Award. Recipients must be a current or past member of the VAE and must have made significant contributions either to the VAE or to the field of economics. Each year, the Board of Directors considers potential recipients, based upon recommendations that have been received.
